One of the missions of our founder, Sri Dattatreya Siva Baba, is to share the wisdom of Vedic Astrology with the modern world. To assist with that, He directed the creation of a free tool at Astroved called Planetary Watch to help everyone watch what planet is ruling at any given hour. The name echoes a famous poem: “Then felt I like some watcher of the skies

It is human desire to wish to know ahead of time how things will turn out. One element of Jyotish, the science of light which contains Vedic astrology, deals with predictive signs or omens.
An omen is an indicator which gives a forecast as to whether an endeavor that a person is thinking about or about to perform will be successful or not.

It started early. At 7:30 AM a priest was chanting outside my window. I was staying a few days in a guest room at an ashram in India where Astroved services are performed. Popping out of bed, I quickly washed my face and dressed and walked outside.
