In Tamil Nadu, India, one company, Astroved.com, is making headways in partnering with Tax Accounting firms and individual taxpayers to provide regular poojas and prayers to the Gods throughout the tax season. “We first experimented with this service in 2007 with American individual tax filers and the results were so overwhelmingly positive, it even surprised us” says Jyoti Arunachala, director of the Astroved.com. She owned several rental properties in Southern California and Florida and with the housing market crash, a hefty tax bill was left at her doorstep. After the continual performance of prayers to Gods on her behalf for 45 days preceding the April 15th deadline, success came. Over $20,000 in tax debt evaporated and during the entire process she was able to work with no mental anxiety and renewed confidence that everything would work out well.
